Ballston Group

Monday at 6:00 PM

Location: Arlington (Ballston)

About the Leaders:

This group will take place in our cozy-but-not-very-large apartment, so join us if you are looking for a casual, small group setting! We'll sit around the dinner table to eat, chat, get to know each other, and explore our faith together. We have a 3 year old, so children (esp. preschoolers) are very welcome -- as well as adults that don't mind the chaos/joy of having toddlers around!

We are a 30-something couple, both immigrants, each with our own approach to faith. We live in the Ballston neighborhood, a few blocks from Grace Community Church and a 5-min walk from the Ballston Metro stop. You can usually find plenty of parking on our street, but note that it's all metered.

About this Group:
Our group this fall will focus on one primary objective: helping each person develop a rule of life that fosters the kind of PACE for living that is conducive for spiritual growth and connectedness to Jesus. Recognizing hurry as a primary enemy of spiritual health, we'll be discussing what it looks like to practice the disciplines of solitude, simplicity, sabbath, and slowing. As part of the discussion, please purchase a copy of "Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" by John Mark Comer.

Meeting: In-person, Wednesdays at 6:00pm
