About this Group:
We are so excited to host a group of people interested in making new friends, learning new perspectives, and growing in their faith. This group will be a fun and safe environment for people of all ages and genders to come together and inspire one another. We love new opinions and questions that make us all dig deeper into what God is calling us to. Whether you are just getting to know who God is or have had an ongoing roller coaster ride with your faith, we hope you find it in your heart to take a leap and join our community group.
The plan is to share food and engage equally in growing faith and friendship. We aren't going to be afraid to look at unanswered questions and investigate analytically, but we also hope to have heart to heart times and to have informal fun. Leaders:
Hannah grew up moving around because her dad was in the Navy, but claims Texas as her home outside of Northern Virginia. She has lived in Virginia for 9 years and currently lives in Burke. She has been a part of Grace Community Church for the past 4 years and has volunteered with Grace Youth for 3 of those years. She loves getting to know the teens and letting her inner-child run wild. Hannah works at Capital One in the Anti-Money Laundering department doing policy related work. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Ed, and their two dogs and cat.
Ed is originally from El Salvador and moved to the DMV area when he was a teenager. He is a detective with the Prince George’s County Police Department in Maryland and has been in law enforcement for 18 years. Outside of work, Ed enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Hannah, and their two dogs and cat. He also has recently begun taking guitar lessons and hopes to be able to play some songs soon! Ed has been part of Grace Community Church for a little over a year. He looks forward to meeting new people and growing in faith and in community as he co-leads this small group with Hannah.
Meeting: In-person, weekly on Thursdays at 7:00pm.
