The Hattie Jones & Evelyn Simms Scholarship is given in memory of Hattie Jones and Evelyn Simms. Its purpose is to make education more accessible for minority students. Each year, Grace Community Church awards scholarships to 10 students. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student’s educational institution and applied toward tuition for undergraduate programs. Students are eligible to apply each year they are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students.

Application Deadline: Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

To ensure fairness for all applicants, our updated scholarship application process requires that all sections be completed in full and submitted by the stated deadline. Incomplete applications, responses that do not meet the minimum word count, or late submissions will not be accepted.
